About This Journal

This journal is designed to help you plan for the week ahead, and reflect on the week just gone. Effective and consistent weekly planning and reflection will help you to: harness your time and energy, drive your performance, assess your progress, and learn as you go.

Like all of our CARVER Coaching and Performance journals we begin with our ‘This is Me’ guide.  Once completed, this guide should act as an ‘anchor’ or ‘North Star’ as you move forward. It is a snapshot of who you are, who you want to be and how you want to prepare and perform in your sport at this point in time. It should act as a go-to source for you to come and seek direction on a daily or weekly basis.

The main body of this journal focuses on weekly planning and reflection.  Journaling prompts are used to help you shape your thoughts and actions, and enable you to prioritise the important things, both inside and outside of sport.

  • The My Weekly Planning prompts challenge you to identify the important areas for you to focus on in the week ahead.
  • The My Weekly Reflection prompts enable you to assess your week: what you did well, what you could have done better, what you learned and where you can look to for further improvement.

Additionally, the journal includes “My Space” pages for personalized notes and thoughts, enabling you to tailor your journey. Built-in trackers provide a simple means to measure your progress, keeping you motivated and on track.
