Paul Kilgannon is a Teacher, Coach, Sports Coach Educator and Author of Coaching Children in Sport – The CARVER Framework. He has particular interest in Child and Youth Sports Coaching and Athletic Development and has spent his adult life coaching across all age groups.
Paul believes strongly in a positive, holistic approach to coaching children in sport, developing both “the youth” and “the player”. He believes lessons learned by children in sport can and must positively contribute to all areas of their lives and, crucially, that the volunteer coach has a key role to play in this.
Paul espouses Volunteer Coach Education as the single most important agent for change in child and youth sport. He has worked with, and mentored, Volunteer Child and Youth Coaches across numerous sports including; Hurling, Gaelic Football, Rugby, Soccer, Basketball and Athletics.
Paul provides a consultancy service and a variety of Coaching Workshops to child and youth sports coaches and clubs through his CARVER Framework.
